Floral design from the new Folkloric Fete collection by Volga. A deep dive into photographs of original Lithuanian costume threw up some wonderful inspiration for geometric floral motifs. I interpreted them into this stripe design, which has such a traditional folk feel to it. A fun way to experiment with showing off different print scales, these ribboned bulletin boards would be perfect for a home office set-up @volga_linen New crewel embroidery inspired design out for @day.dress looking ethereal and rather dreamy in this floral photoshoot. It was created by hand after looking at many Elizabethan crewel embroidery references, and then block printed onto cotton for beautiful dress and waistcoat shapes. Had a lot of fun designing this print! Field and Flax Flower @volga_linen in situ around the home. The two scales of flower work so well in combination together in the same space, seen here on luxurious linen curtain drapes, a bed canopy and of course that tiny cute lampshade 💡 Latest botanical design for @volga_linen out now, aptly named ‘Cape Botanical’, after the beautiful South African Protea flower. Last winter I painted a series of seasonal blooms onto black card using exaggerated light and shade to resemble moonlit flowers: cyclamen, hellebores, forsythia and snowdrops. This design focuses on the leaves, foliage and berries parts of my paintings.
